The Program
The Make Me a CEO Program was developed to help high potential women achieve and sustain higher levels of leadership within their current environments and the community.
It was been designed to assist women fast track their career development , whilst providing them with the essential skills and experience to operate efficiently and effectively at a higher level.
10 high potential women will be selected for this unique Program that will provide the networks and support needed to achieve this aim with mentoring provided by the former Telstra Business women of the year in those positions.
The itinerary for the Make Me a CEO Program is as follows:
1. Launch Event February 2011 Congratulations and introduction to group
2. Holistic Leadership – Ethics and Integrity April 2011 Holistic Leadership encompasses many of the ‘lenses’ through which leadership can be explored. How we as women encompass the ideals of the organisation with other world views and marry that with our own perspective. This topic also explores our understanding of values and ethics and the female relationship with power.
3. Political Intelligence June 2011 Research shows that political behaviour is on the increase in both public and private sector organisations and that it undermines trust between people at all levels within the organisation. This is clearly not conducive to effective working relationships and impacts directly on organisational performance. This topic looks at strategies and techniques for managing in diverse politically driven organisations.

5.Personal Branding Sept-11 Personal Branding is the art of actively shaping public perception about ‘YOU’ and is becoming more and more critical to business success. It is something we really need to focus on to differentiate ourselves and stand out from the crowd. Whenever we are with our boss or our staff, whenever we are presenting, whenever we are meeting clients, we are not only projecting corporate brand values we are also projecting values about our self. This topic explores how WWB members have developed and thrived through creating their own personal brand.

Work/Life Balance: Don’t be a superwoman Dec-11 Balance involves giving appropriate amounts of attention/ time/energy to the important aspects of our life and often this needs to be flexible in order to deal with life’s natural challenges. Sometimes we need to work a bit harder, and sometimes rest a bit Harder. We explore how women in top positions manage their lives.

9. Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurial Execution Apr-12 Businesses, whether for-profit or non-profit, are facing change like never before. Numerous driving forces to this change included a rapidly expanding marketplace (globalization), and increasing competition, diversity among consumers, and availability to new forms of technology. Creativity and innovation are often key to the success of a business, particularly when strategizing during strategic planning, and when designing new products and services. This topic explores how we can use creativity and innovation as business tool and develop entrepreneurial thinking as the mindset of the future.
10.Expanding your experiences Jun-12 Modelling excellence in others and creating unique experiences for ourselves is the road to success. In this topic we provide insight into what a leader needs to incorporate this essential orientation into our current world view.
11. Networking Event Aug-12 Hosted
12. Building a compelling business case and managing up Oct-12 Organisations can miss valuable opportunities and make less-than-optimum decisions because of poorly constructed and communicated business cases. In this topic, we discuss initiatives that may help you construct a clear business case and explore techniques for managing upwards in an ethical and moral way.
13. Managing Change and strategic thinking Dec-12 This topic explores the ability to create cultural change and deliver an organisational vision. We look at whole of government or organisational methodologies and collaborative approachs alongside corporate and non profit to cross pollinate views.
